Pelvic pain, peeing when you sneeze, preparing for birth, and healing postpartum. Whatever pregnancy-related experiences you’re having, pelvic floor physio can help!
But wouldn’t you know it, patients have likened their experience here to a retreat and oasis.
Maybe it’s our large windows bringing in relaxing natural light. Or the lush plants and flowers surrounding our plushy couches and fluffy pillows.
And maybe, just maybe, it’s our philosophy of compassionate, gentle, and respectful care cultivated by each of our dedicated team members.
This is Capria Care.
Because baby-making comes with a lot of lasting side effects—like being a little more tired and a lot more in love—but ongoing pain and discomfort should not make the list.
You know that pregnancy can be uncomfortable, birth will be something else, and postpartum healing will take some time. But did you know there’s a lot we can do to make it all a little easier?
In pelvic floor physiotherapy, we focus on the core and pelvic floor—the areas most affected during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Ongoing pelvic floor care can help you reduce pain and discomfort while addressing common but not-so-normal occurrences like peeing when you laugh or experiencing pain with sex—during any trimester of pregnancy and postpartum!
Debunk myths, reduce pain in pregnancy, and prepare for birth. Pelvic floor physio helps you feel more comfortable in your body while avoiding any undue strain.
Prenatal pelvic floor physio helps with:
Some women recover from birth on their own, while others need more support from a pelvic health physiotherapist to get back to living comfortably and pain-free.
Postpartum pelvic floor physio helps with:
Physiotherapists with specialized training in pelvic health take all necessary precautions, avoid treatment types that are counter-indicated, and use specific approaches to make sure your treatment is safe and totally comfortable for you.

Booking your first appointment can be intimidating. Here’s what we want you to know:
Our space hits that perfect balance of clean and comforting. We keep it hypoallergenic and sanitized so nothing interferes with your chill, and you feel at peace from the moment you walk through the door.
Prior to your arrival, your RMT will prep the room by sanitizing every touchpoint and setting up the pregnancy pillow if you need it. We’ll dress the table with crisp sheets and a fresh blanket, and heat or cool the room, too.
This is your appointment! Your comfort is #1. Please do not apologize for having hairy body parts, showing up sweaty, crying during your session, wearing sweats to your appointment, or not wanting to fully disrobe.
From your first kinesiology session on, you can expect us to:

A: Yes, with the handy-dandy pregnancy pillow! You can also lie on your side if you prefer. In fact, we usually treat you using a mix of three positions: face down on the pregnancy pillow, side-lying, and semi-seated. This way, we can access all parts of the back and body, and allow you to readjust if one position becomes too uncomfortable after a while. (As it inevitably does!)
A: Yes, as long as you feel comfortable with the treatment and don’t have signs or symptoms of a high-risk pregnancy, or if you do have signs and symptoms of a high-risk pregnancy but have been cleared for RMT by your doctor.
A: You bet!
