Coquitlam RMT's for ICBC claims

Massage Therapy With Direct Billing for ICBC

As registered massage therapists, we provide the relaxed-but-effective therapeutic care you need to recover from your accident.

And yes, we direct-bill!

A Motor Vehicle Accident Is No Joke

Beyond the pain of any injuries you sustained, you might be paying an unexpected deductible, repairing or replacing your car, coordinating with your adjuster, and scheduling just shy of a hundred new appointments.

No wonder you’re stressed and sore—it’s a lot to deal with!

But if you’ll have us, we’d love to help.

If You’ve Got An ICBC Claim, We’ve Got You!

Massage therapy has been shown to help folks deal with the discomfort that comes with:

  • Motor vehicle accident injuries
  • Strains, sprains, and spasms
  • Post-surgery rehabilitation
  • Ongoing conditions like arthritis and sciatica

  • General aches and pains
  • Stress, anxiety, and insomnia
  • Flare-ups of things like tendonitis and carpal tunnel
  • Swelling and lymphedema

Here’s How The ICBC Thing Works

Booking your first appointment can be intimidating. Here’s what you need to know:

Make Sure You Have Your Claim Number

You’ll need it when you book your first appointment. Also, if you book any appointments without an active claim number, they might not be covered by ICBC.

Book Your First Appointment

Book as soon as you have that claim number. According to ICBC, “You don’t need to wait for a support and recovery specialist to contact you before getting treatment.”

Complete The ICBC Intake Questionnaire

During your first appointment, ICBC requires that we grill you a little, so expect to spend about 20 minutes answering our questions. (This will only happen once!)

Book Up To 12 ICBC Appointments

If you have an active ICBC claim, ICBC covers $90 per visit for up to 12 registered massage therapy treatments as long as you book with an RMT (which all of us are).

What You Can Expect From Us

From your first massage therapy session on, we’ll always:

  • Check-in with how you’re feeling
  • Assess and reassess any aches, complaints, or injuries you have
  • Communicate everything we’re doing and ask for your feedback
  • Ask for consent before placing our hands on your body, both before the treatment and before touching potentially sensitive areas
  • Offer suggestions for maintenance exercises and mental health strategies
  • Listen to your needs and support you thoroughly

What To Expect During Your Appointment

Booking your first appointment can be intimidating. Here’s what we want you to know:

OUR SPACE IS CLEAN AND COMFY

Our space hits that perfect balance of clean and comforting. We keep it hypoallergenic and sanitized so nothing interferes with your chill, and you feel at peace from the moment you walk through the door.

We set the table for you

Before your arrival, your RMT will prep the room by sanitizing every touchpoint, dressing the table with crisp sheets and a fresh blanket, and heating or cooling the room to the perfect temperature. (Yes, we have AC!)

This is a judgment-free zone

This is your appointment! Your comfort is #1. Please do not apologize for having hairy body parts, showing up sweaty, crying during your session, wearing sweats to your appointment, or not wanting to fully disrobe.

Get Ready To Feel So Much Better!

Research shows that beyond reducing tension and providing pain relief, massage treatments with registered massage therapists (which we are!) can:

✔ Relieve muscle tension

✔ Relieve pain and aches

✔ Promote relaxation

✔ Improve range of motion

✔ Reduce anxiety and stress

✔ Reduce swelling

✔ Promote healing by improving blood flow to any areas of your body that need it
